Built a sim in our unfinished basement. Pase 2 will be properly finishing the walls and installing carpet. I actually like the exposed black ceiling. Will probably keep it for a cool industrial look.
9' ceilings are no problem for me (5'10") after a thousand or so swings. May look into lowering the concrete slab a few inches in phase 2 so taller friends can hit driver. Super happy with the result!

Whys the couch facing away from the simulator?
I’m at the same stage. we both need to get some turf down on top of the rubber tiles, because it is impossible to keep it clean, which results in dirty balls, then a dirty screen.
What’s your hitting mat? I enjoy the idea of just replacing the strip. I have a 5×5 mat. And I’ve rotated it over the year of using it. Mines the motivo mat
Beauty! Im putting one together similar to yours in my garage. 9 foot ceilings, got an 8×8 with 4 feet depth enclosure. What dimension is your enclosure? Projector is above, no issues for you? How far back are you? Can you hit a full wedge shot with the depth?
