The Tar Heel women’s golf team begins the spring portion of the 2025-26 schedule at the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic, hosted by the Boilermakers at the Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, P.R.

Play begins on Sunday, February 1.

Carolina enters the spring 14th in the NCAA’s Scoreboard/Clippd rankings. The Tar Heels won their last fall event, the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C., and placed in the top four in three of their four tournaments in the fall.

Two-time All-ACC honoree Megan Streicher finished second at Landfall with a 6-under 210. The runner-up finish was her best as a Tar Heel. Earlier this month, the senior from South Africa received her second invitation to play in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur in April.

UNC and Purdue are joined in the Puerto Rico Classic by No. 4 Arkansas, Furman, Georgia Southern, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, LSU, Minnesota, Michigan, Michigan State, North Florida, North Texas, No. 20 Northwestern, No. 15 Ole Miss, UNCW and No, 10 Vanderbilt.

Streicher, ranked No. 34 in the country, headlines the Tar Heel lineup in Puerto Rico that also includes Helen Yeung, Inez Ng, Reagan Southerland and Marie Prats-Rigual. Ellen Yu is also competing as an individual entry.

In addition to winning in late October at Landfall, the Tar Heels placed fourth in the fall in the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Mich., third in Franklin, Tenn., at Vanderbilt’s Mason Rudolph Championship and sixth at UNC Finley in the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Intercollegiate.
