Playing a tournament in Pebble Beach!

This week I was lucky enough to play in a 3-day tournament at Pebble Beach organized by the Northern California Golf Association.

As far as tournaments go, this was pretty light-hearted. Most of the participants opted out of the “tournament” in order to just play golf and have a good time. I decided to give it a go, playing in Flight A (6.9 index) in a net stableford format.

I played *terribly* during rounds 1 & 2, posting a 90 at Spanish Bay and a 91 at Pebble Beach.

I was honestly terrified for round 3. Spyglass is my favorite golf course in the world but I’ve never managed better than an 85 there. I ultimately carded an 80 that I was thrilled with, allowing me to place as runner-up in my flight.

I’ll post the whole series to [my channel](https://www.youtube.com/c/notascratchgolfer) in the future. Hope y’all enjoy!

Love content, good editing. Your swing so good around the body and smooth. Keep it up!

Well done Adam! If you come out west to Calgary or kananaskis, let’s play a round

I don’t get the appeal of watching people play bad when nothing else is added to the video. This is just like re-living league night

I noticed on some of your approach shots your swing is nice and easy. Looks like a 1/2 to 3/4 swing. If I’m correct with yours, this is something I’ve been doing recently!

For example… last week I golfed two days. First day I played my old approach strategy- 150 from the pin is a full 8 for me. Full swing left that, right the next, water, bunk so on so fourth. Only 11% GIR that day ending with a 95.

The next day, different course. I did that same strategy until the turn. I was +10 by then. I said to myself “less is more”. FIR on 10 ~150 from the green. I grabbed a 6 and did a half easy swing. Low ball flight mimicking a knock-down/pitch shot. Birdie!

I continued this strategy claiming back to back birdies, a few bogeys, and consistent pars. Finished with an 83. Enlightened I was.

Anyways great vid! Point of my reply – less is more. Chip and a putt is what it comes down to! 🍻

That’s gotta be the most quacks I’ve heard in one of your rounds. An 80 is pretty darn good when you’re not hitting well.
