Better Chips Start Here #golfswing #golftips

Your lie plays a huge role in how the ball will come off the club when chipping. What looks good or bad at first glance often changes when you get closer and really assess how the ball is sitting. By taking a few extra seconds to read the lie, you can make better decisions about setup and club selection. That small habit leads to more consistent strike and fewer wasted shots around the green.

  1. I always question why the club face needs to be opened. It all has to do with lie angle. Knowing your equipment and understanding how it works makes a big difference.

  2. When I have the third one I bring my 9 iron. If I try to hit that with a lob wedge it will go 3 feet like you said.

  3. That last lie gets me from 150, I hit it a little high on the toe. I’m guessing it’s the same fix?

  4. in all 3 lies just use driver and do a full swing hit the flag pop in the water and note birdie in the score

  5. I could take zero tips from you and would have gotten it closer to the pin with a 5 iron on all three shots.

  6. I love videos that point out mistakes that no one would ever make. I mean, you have to be seriously newb to not take your lie into account when hitting every shot. If I'm 210 from the green, the lie dictates if I'm going to try to flush a six iron, hack out a five iron, or really go digging with a nine iron or wedge. If I'm fifteen yards out it's basically the same analysis.
