CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – The 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference women’s golf spring season officially teed off earlier this week and will shift into full swing this  weekend, with eight more ACC teams opening their spring seasons beginning Friday, January 30.

The spring season opened in a big way on Tuesday, January 27, as Duke freshman Rianne Malixi earned her first individual championship at the Sea Best Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Florida. Malixi registered the victory in record fashion, carding a 9-under-par 63 in the final round and posting a 54-hole score of 16-under-par 200 to win by two strokes. The round of 63 tied for the lowest 18-hole score on a par-72 course in Duke history, while the three-day total of 200 marked the lowest score in Blue Devil lore. As a team, Duke finished runner-up at 27-under-par 837.

Eight more teams begin their spring slates this upcoming week, starting with Florida State, NC State and Virginia competing at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club in Mexico. Last season, four ACC golfers claimed the top four spots in the final individual standings, while Florida State captured the team title.
