I recently ordered a hybrid and a putter from GlobalGolf, both listed in Very Good condition. To be honest, I’m a bit disappointed with the condition of both clubs. I compared them against the condition examples shown in their YouTube videos, and both appear to be in noticeably worse shape than what was demonstrated. Should I return them?

Not very good
I’d send them pics and ask for some money back on the wood, if not, return. The club will perform fine, but it’s obviously not “very good” standard. I’d return the putter regardless.
That Hybrid looks to be in about the same condition as the qi10 7 wood I purchased from them. My 7 wood was listed as value condition. I was happy with it based on my expectations of the value rating. I do not think that qualifies as very good.
I’d call those “fair” at best. But I generally am leery of almost any used club rating system outside of CPO.
I could NEVER look down at the putter. You don’t show the top of the driver but if its anything like that putter, I woulden’t use either if you gave them to me for free.
That putter looks like it has an abusive husband
I stopped using global golf. They used to be the best. Not anymore.
Wood seems ok if the crown is clean. Putter seems like it was used w/o headcover. I would return that.
Looks like someone hit off of the cart path. Often.
I use GolfAvenue a lot more because they upload pictures of every individual club so you can choose the exact one you want.
You got hosed
That’s ridiculous
hybrid is average putter is a return. thats terrible
i would be disappointed as well. I recently got a TM QI10 5 wood in the “Value Condition” and there was barely a mark on it.
Those used to be ‘value’ at best. I haven’t ordered anything from global golf since they got bought out 5 years ago.
This is why.
I’ll never understand people not using headcovers on their putters. Such tiny dings can have real effect on putts.
Those look like rentals, send them back.
I much prefer 2ndSwing to GlobalGolf. I think their prices are often better and they have plenty of photos of the actual club you are buying, so I can judge the condition myself.
I’d return both of these.
If very means not then yes very good
90 day… send em back. Not a big deal.
I’ve never had a problem from them but I would have a problem with these clubs.
I’ve stopped buying things from them for this exact reason. Second swing is a little more pricey but I can see what I’m buying.
2ndswing.com has great photos of every club. I’ve used them a few times. Never tried global golf
They’d have to pay me to take those home
No chance in hell am i paying anything other than garage sale prices for condition like that.
Not even close to very good
Golf avenue has my business now, great return policy and photos of the actual club.
Definitely email pictures to them. I ordered a driver from them that was supposed to be “Very Good” and it was pretty banged up. They looked at the pictures and said they definitely sent the wrong one. They shipped me another driver and let me play the one I had until the new one arrived. New one was basically in perfect shape.
Very good condition! For being dragged behind a vehicle over a mile long gravel road.
I bet on trade in they didn’t give the guy very good trade in value.
My new 3 wood looked like your hybrid after only a few range sessions so I think that’s alright. The putter on the other hand looks like it’s seen some shit
The hybrid looks fine to me and that will happen anyway. That putter is shit though.
I stick to Calloway pre owned and titliest certified now. I bought a used driver from one of the big online stores and the head had a dent in it.
Jesus, what was the previous owner doing?! Hitting the driver off the deck from the dirt? I’ve never seen a driver so badly abused. 100% returning that.
The faces look great despite the rest of the clubs looking like they got run over
That is actually in “Very rough condition”
That’s good to know they sell street hockey gear.
Return for sure.
I’ve bought stuff from them before, and it was hit and miss. One time a very-good look virtually brand new, another time it had significant wear marks.
I’ve found Golf Avenue to be a much more reliable site, and it shows pictures of the actual clubs you’re buying, not just the generic stock photos.
I’m in Canada so I can’t order from them, but I follow Golf Roots on Insta and they seem like good dudes.
Very Good is in the lower half of GG’s condition ratings on their website. The only condition grade worse they sell is “Value”.
Not to be a devil’s advocate, but the Very Good description on the website seems to match the products you bought:
For woods & hybrids:
“Normal ball marks and scratching on the face; normal scratching on the sole; minor dings and nicks on the crown and/or around the edges of the head; very light scratches, paint chips, paint blemishes on or around the crown.”
Putters:
“Normal ball marks and scratching visible on the face and sole; light scratching and marks on the top line minimally visible from address.”
In short, they should use a different term than “Very good”. However, the same term is used to describe collectibles which are actually in rough shape compared to when new. You wouldn’t want to see a comic book in “good” condition – basically falling apart.
I think you got stuck in the “welp, these are slightly better than Value category, let’s call them VG.”
Looks about right according to their description. Very good is the next to bottom tier of clubs behind mint and excellent and above value. Due to no damage on the face, “very good” seems accurate. I definitely wouldn’t expect anything better if I am going with their 3rd level of club sight unseen.
Narrator: “those, in fact, are not very good.”
I’ve played 5,000+ rounds with my current putter and it looks 100x more new.
Those things are beat to hell
