John’s Island, S.C. – With cold temperatures expected at the start of next week, the Batttle At Briar’s Creek golf tournament has been canceled. The Augusta University men’s team was scheduled to compete in the event, but with the forecast projected to remain cold, the two-day tournament has been called off.
The Jaguars will now start the spring portion of the season in New Orleans, La., at the Gulf Coast Collegiate Feb. 23-24.
Augusta is coming off a strong finish to end the fall year in which they were third at the Pearl at Kalauao in Hawaii. They are looking to carry that momentum over into the spring portion of their schedule.
