Building Original | A new era of Staff Model

Wilson Staff Model Irons: rooted in history, driven by innovation. The 2026 line of Staff Model Irons follows the lineage of championships past while making a technological jump in the iron category. Wilson R&D engineers break down the innovative advancements behind Wilson’s 2026 lineup of Staff Model irons. Sharp, precise, and modern, the Staff Model Blades act as the archetype of the newest generation. Along with updates to shaping and most notably the transition to a brushed satin finish in the Staff Model Blades and CBs, our team has bridged the precision of our past and the performance and simulation of our future to introduce our first Player’s Performance Iron – Staff Model XB. Creating a hollow body iron in the Staff Model line comes with challenges, our team was focused on making the best feeling and sounding hollow body iron on the market all while maintaining the look of a blade. With the main goal being a seamless transition from Blade to CB to XB, minimal offset and a thinner topline were key elements that stood at the forefront of our R&D Engineers minds. Hiding the vent port was another primary objective when creating XB, our team wanted a hollow body iron to look, feel, and sound like a forged blade. They did just that, a technological jump with the beauty and history of the Staff Model line.

  1. These look exceptional! I hope they make it into more people’s bags and get the recognition they deserve. I play the 2024 Wilson blades and they are incredibly forgiving plus they look stunning. Great video.

  2. This is what Wilson needs. I've played FG Tour V4 and FG Tour F5. Loved those irons. I have your wedges, MT putter and now I will definitely consider either the CB or XB irons. Showcasing these engineers really puts a face to the brand. It's human, not just a corporate monolith. Great job here!
