Do you shop for lines for when you bet on sports? Like, ACTUALLY shop for lines.
Most people are familiar with the concept of line shopping but in our experience, not that many people do it effectively.
On this episode of Wise Kracks, hosts Bill Krackomberger and Rosalie Michaels take a deep dive into line shopping.
Starting with the basics, Krack breaks down how shopping for lines works and why it’s so important.
Signing up for multiple accounts (called “Outs” in sports betting slang), comparing point spreads, odds, and juice, watching how lines move in different ways on different sportsbooks, there are tons of ways it pays to comparison shop in sports betting.
After the strategy discussion, Krack and Rosalie are joined by Jay Kornegay, a legend in Las Vegas bookmaking. Jay is the operations manager of the SuperBook at Westgate in Las Vegas and he’s uniquely positioned to comment on the latest developments in pro sports and the US sports betting industry.
Jay discusses reopening Las Vegas and the challenges of setting odds with so much uncertainty surrounding pro sports.
Next, Krack gives us a special PGA pick for this week’s Travelers Championship. You’ll have to watch the full episode to get the details on that before the event kicks off on Thursday.
Finally, we answer audience questions. This week Krack weighs in on a question about the over/under on wins for the Colts this coming season. Tweet us your questions or ask them in the comments here for a chance to be featured in next week’s episode.
