Stop guessing what to work on in your golf game. Build your Personal Game Plan with Me and My Golf 👉 https://meandmygolf.com/?utm_source=YouTube&utm_medium=Description&utm_campaign=26_01_26

If you’ve ever wondered why some wedge shots check and spin while others come out flat and dead, this video will give you real clarity.
In this lesson, we break wedge spin down into two simple parts.

First, we explain what actually creates spin, not myths or guesses, but the real factors that matter. You’ll learn three key elements that control spin with wedges: friction, spin loft, and strike location, and how they work together.

Then, we move into technique and show you what you can do in your setup and swing to create those conditions more consistently. This isn’t about trying to “help” the ball spin, it’s about understanding how to deliver the club properly so spin happens naturally.

This video is ideal if you:
Struggle to generate spin with your wedges
Feel like your technique looks OK, but the ball doesn’t react
Want to understand why spin happens, not just copy drills
Prefer simple, clear explanations that actually make sense

By the end of this lesson, you’ll have a much better understanding of what creates spin and how to build it into your wedge shots in a reliable way.

  1. Played golf for 50 years and just learned more loft doesn’t always mean more spin. The 55° optimum is a nice visual for my 60° wedge.

  2. Hey guys. Your stuff is always so good. I have a question. If you live in a place where you have to use simulators this time of year…..and you don't have access to amazing places like TPI…..how does one practice this? Is a Simulator "Good enough"? Obviously a mat is a "tight lie" but it's also never ideal. Just wondering a good way to practice during the off season. Thanks fellas.

  3. Nice sponsored advertisement…smh. Those strikes and deliveries were not the same.
