Does New York’s winter have you dreaming of warmer days − and buying a golf course?
If so, there are several available across the state from Hamburg to Oneida, with prices ranging from $1.5 million to over $4 million. Depending on what you’re looking for, you could scoop one up that has its own ice cream shop, another that was used solely by Oneida Ltd. company employees and guests or one with a “party barn.”
Here’s a look at seven New York golf courses listed for sale this winter.
Cloverbank Country Club in Hamburg
About the course: A history-packed course designed by architects William and David Gordon, Cloverbank Country Club opened in 1959 as the Bethlehem Management Club, initially only welcoming Bethlehem Steel Company employees and their families.
In the years since, the 18-hole, 7,067-yard golf course has changed hands − and names − several times, according to the Links Capital Advisors’ listing, and was even owned by Arnold Palmer Management briefly. The most recent owners, an investor group comprised of former members who renamed it to its current moniker, are looking to sell the course to someone new who can “take Cloverbank to the next level of service,” the listing says.
How much is it?: The golf course is listed for sale by Links Capital Advisors for $3.75 million.
Rose Brook Golf Course in Hanover

“Nestled in the communities of Sherrill-Kenwood, New York, Oneida Community Golf Club offers a mature course possessing all the natural beauty that comes with age and meticulous care over the last 125 years … (and) features rolling hills, a meandering creek, elevated tees, lush woodlands harboring stately trees, and the 32-acre Sunset Lake,” according to the listing.
