Proof That Putting Is the Only Thing That Matters in Golf

Proof that putting is the most important part of golf — and also the most painful.

I hit a great drive, flushed the second shot, and then completely missed an easy birdie putt. That’s golf.
This moment happened during Rivalry Match #26 at Glen Oaks Country Club in Kentucky.

If you’ve ever striped it tee-to-green just to walk away with par (or worse), this one’s for you.

  1. I hit a 380 yard fade just right of the green
My preferred ball flight is a draw, with the wind on my back I expected, I didn’t expect it to rise into the wind and get carried

I’m notoriously bad at putting, I made par from like 25 yards

The greens were very fast for the quality of the course and I just started playing again

I absolutely kill in scrambles, but mostly because I hit last on every shot
I end up putting decently because I just watched 3 guys attempt the same putt
Next round I’ll be on the green for an hour+ before I tee off
