Here’s a must know golf rule. When is your ball out of bounds or not? It’s an easy rule to know but sometimes it takes a keen eye to see it.

Rule 18.2a is clear: When Ball is Out of Bounds. Your ball at rest is out of bounds only when all of it is outside the boundary edge of the course.

In this case the golf ball is in bounds, but just barely. Now about that white stake boundary marker….

    A ball is considered out of bounds when all of it lies beyond the course boundary, defined by white stakes or lines
