0:00 – Why inconsistent ball striking usually starts with ball position
0:24 – Ground shots vs driver shots (different angle of attack)
1:44 – The swing center: lead shoulder → low point must be past the ball
2:50 – The rule: ball a clubhead inside your lead heel (off the ground)
3:45 – The “4-step dance” routine (zero → one → two → three/four)
6:40 – Short / mid / long clubs: only stance width changes (trail foot step)
10:25 – Driver setup: ball on lead heel + widest stance + head behind ball
12:12 – Practice reset: repeat the steps every shot for consistency

This routine gives you a repeatable way to position the golf ball for every full-swing club. For irons/hybrids/fairway woods, keep the ball about a clubhead inside your lead heel and vary only stance width. For driver, move it up to the lead heel, go widest stance, and let your head fall slightly behind the ball for a more level/up strike 🔥

  1. I've always struggled with ball placement consistency. I've never found a method to be consistent with every club I use. Thus I hit the ball all over the place sometimes.
This method makes a lot of sense.
I will definitely give it a try and see what happens.
    Thanks for the video!

  2. This has to be the first lesson that has helped me get consistently in hitting the ball pure. I have always hit behind or topping the ball
I have only being playing consitant golf on weekly basis for 6 months
This has helped me reduce my bad shots by 5-8 shots
    Thanks heaps 0:25

  3. Happy New Year thanks for your great videos the basics are so important and have been a great help to so many players including me.

  4. This is the best video on balls stances I've watched. Than I s. Looking forward to applying this in my game next Monday. Glad to have found your video. Great job.

  5. I agree on the start and will give it a try. Do you agree with the let your right hand swing and if it hits ur grip that’s a good distance or are you a line the club top to belly button or groin based on club?

  6. Superb explanation for once on ball position. It’s been a game changer for me. The most critical bit is reminding us that the lead arm is the pivot, this has altered completely where I place the ball in relation to my stance.

  7. Best solid advice, can practice these steps for muscle memory in my living room during the winter season thank you so much

  8. What you’re really doing that you have not explained completely, is you have not changed the bottom of your swing because your left heel is always in the same position, maintaining the bottom of the swing relative to the left shoulder

  9. This is a fantastic video and very helpful lesson in golf. I have not had a routine ever after watching this video. It’s super simple easy to remember easy to follow and it works all the best players in the world have a routine and now I can confidently step up to the ball and do the same with some consistency

  10. Interesting.. I do this set but would always adjust the ball closer to center, forward or back depending on club ( wiggling around ). Never thought about the arc of the down swing being the front shoulder that is the key to me. Thanks
