Making the threat that he did was wrong and that kind of attitude could land him in jail if he can't control his anger. If you work at a golf course you know that hitting into groups ahead happens. It's rarely intentional but it can be frustrating, especially if it happens more than once. Still need to handle it like an adult though. Going to jail will not make you feel better.
When I was a kid back in the seventies one of my adult neighbors played golf every week at the local club's men's night. For some reason he often was in the foursome ahead of one of the bankers in town. This was in a small town in the Midwest where everyone knew each other. The banker was always impatient. Too anxious and impatient to wait before hitting his ball. My neighbor who was a very tough guy got tired to the banker hitting into his group. So, one night he starts hitting the ball back at banker but in the rough so he would not hit anyone. The banker never hit into another group after that night.

if some asshole confronted me like this over a 390 yard drive that rolled by the green, i'd fly it over his head on the next hole. fk that guy. a dribbler by the green isn't hitting into someone especially not on purpose if you're hitting from 390 yards out.
