Another informative video as currently in the market for new irons. The 201 mk2 replaces the old 101t and the 201t replaces the old 201, not the other way round mate.

To all of you who are thinking about purchasing a set of Takomo Irons – I would caution you.
I have been playing golf for over fifty years and recently purchased a set of Takomo irons – The irons started to Rust – I have purchased a dozen sets of iron in my life and never have I had a set RUST on me before. I reached out to Takomo and they at first blamed me for the rusting and after working with the customer service group they took NO responsibility. Now understand not all of the clubs I purchased rusted but about half did. No where in all of my research did I see this happening to anyone so I just want to make other aware.
PURCHASE THESE CLUBS WITH CAUSION AND KNOW THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU AND TAKOMO WILL DO NOTHING TO MAKE IT RIGHT.
Nice vid James! So which type of golfers are suitable for each set? For example, some high handicappers can hit the ball well and struggle with short game. Would 101s be too hot for golfers like this or would 201s be more suitable
101 mk2 = 101 201 mk2 = 101t 201t mk2 = 201 Pretty sure you said it wrong That’s y people are confused. Are the 101 mk2 smaller than original 101? On the Takomo website they have blade length for the originals but not the mk2
I think the new 201 looks terrible compared to the previous forged iterations. The 201T looks like the best one of the new irons, just not convinced these will all sell as well as their previous clubs.
I have fully analyzed the dog at 6:36, approaches with two front legs, raises up to smell the bag presumably. I do not believe the dog peed, if so it would have lifted its back leg and remained on 3 legs rather than jump up on its hind legs
I have the OG 101s and love them. But yes, I'm not buying new Takomos until there is a 101 / 201 combo set. Takomo needs to work on more combo set choices

The grooves on the 101t's were thin and shallow. Have they improved on the new irons? I'm not sure it's worth taking the chance on Takomo again.

Would you say that the top edge is more rounded on these than on the previous Takomos?

If you are able to get ahold of these irons, they are a DTC in the US, New Level golf has some fantastic stuff. Based out of AZ in the US.
Just ordered the 201 mk2's on this recommendation. Just got to wait the 6 to 8 weeks for delivery. Could be a good summer.
