Can someone explain to me why an enclosure in an English cricket ground is named after an Indian? Or any foreigner for that matter? Usually grounds honor their heroes local to their country, province/state, county, or city. Which makes sense. But why name an enclosure in your country after a foreign cricketer? Is it because he’s Indian and Lancashire County CC did to appease to the Indians and increase sales of their merchandise to British Indians and Indians around the world? I wonder why.
😅

The ambient noise in this clip just triggered my Ashes PTSD as an Aussie fan. Recognised it instantly. That muffled quiet of 2005 watching at 3am. I can't describe it, can't say how I recognise it, but I do.
