I’m don’t play golf enough but my thrift shop steals (including a utility driver that you can hit on the fairway) are so much fun and if I hit shitty (which is a lot) I can blame it on the club
I would’ve guessed y’all were lifelong friends, you tellin me you guys are just golf friends that haven’t even known eachother that long? Want to know my golf tip for beginners; never put your tee in your mouth like it’s a tooth pick. The fertilizer they put on golf courses is pretty serious shit. Also always pop your collar, takes two strokes off your game. And lastly but not leastly if you’re ever on the tee box and see someone tap the ball off the tee by accident while linining up their shot, always, ALWAYS say “That’s one”
The number one thing i wish i knew as a beginner; you don't need more than like four or five clubs starting out. You don't really keed a full set of clubs to start. You need a 3 wood or a driver. Something for your long distance off the tee (3 wood is probably better because you can hit it off the deck, plus it's easier to hit as a beginner) and then you need a long/mid iron, so like a 5 or a 6 and then maybe a 9 iron, a pitching wedge, and then your putter. If you're brand new to golf that's all you'd really use anyway
My current set is a strata kit. I use walmart nitros but for my birthday I bought 2 boxes of Chrome Tour Xs. Ive also recently added a 3 Iron and 60° wedge.
I’m playing with a 27 year old putter, 9, 8, 7 and I’m not too proud to use a range ball if I find a stray while playing a hole. I’ve been playing a lot of golf now for two and a half years and I still think I’m that much more time away from upgrading any of those clubs seriously. I still can’t pull the trigger on a $30 grip upgrade to that 27yr old putter 😂
I done got the sim2 max driver, taylormade stealth irons, jailbird putter, ping 440 wood and hybrid all on impulse and regret nothing. Fell in love with golf even though I was one to talk shiiiii smh😅
Strata is lowkey amazing. I actually keep the driver from last years set cause its so smooth and easy to hit and you can still get 280 carry if you step on it
Curious question? What are your actual handicaps? Also, would love to have you guys do a vid at hamilton farm. Im a caddie there so im sure id be able to get you guys on
Bought clubs off Facebook and started learning the game because of you guys. Got a used bag of balls and “borrow” any decent non range balls I find at the local course
I didn’t get my first set of name brand clubs until two years after I started taking the game more serious ( post let’s just go to the course and get hammered arc) make sure you actually enjoy the game before you go and spend like 5000 on a complete setup.
Just started playing and bought my first set of clubs at a yard sale last week. Full Strata set. Guy wanted $10 for the whole set. Came with 2 Callaway Drivers too. The Lord blessed me that day.
When I got started, I was hitting the range a TON so the balls I bought were range balls from that range just 'cause I knew exactly what I was working with, and I got a thousand for 10 bucks lol

These guys have grown on me so much. Couldn't imagine youtube without them now.
Comment to help the alg.
Strata is goated the only thing lacking is the driver. I can pipe the 3 wood 250 with a little baby draw it's crazy how forgiving they are.
Instructions unclear. My first bag was full of TaylorMade clubs and balls 🤣 (surprisingly still have all of it 7 years later)
Pro shop guy charged you $350 for the used Ping six iron
Do you use wide grip clubs?
7 sizzling sausages sizzling in a sauce pan

I started with a set of strata clubs then moved up to a set of cobra f max irons and wedges

My starter set were Callaway Strata, I shot an 82 with those clubs. I’ve moved on to Callaway Apex and haven’t shot an 82 since 😂😂😂
I just started golfing and bought a set of tour edge, I like em, but man ai could have used this advice a couple weeks ago 😂
Theres hella free gold balls next to the flag with the hole in the ground at my local golf course. Haven't spent a penny on balls in a while

I had to retire the strata driver lol

these individuals embody the quintessential unbearableness of golfers.
nobody cares wtf you are talking about
Mizuno's are pretty good to start off with too. And 100% agreed to not waste your money on balls. Don't waste your money at the range either
He’s the image of Christian Bale
Until you're a scratch golfer, NEVER buy ProV1's
what's y'alls handicaps?
I started golf 3 years ago and have been playing with my Dad's old clubs and leather bag from the 90's 😂
When I got started, I was hitting the range a TON so the balls I bought were range balls from that range just 'cause I knew exactly what I was working with, and I got a thousand for 10 bucks lol
