Welcome to H.I.T Golf Reviews – the home of honest, independent and trustworthy golf equipment reviews.

If you want straight-talking advice on drivers, irons, wedges, putters, golf balls and golf tech, you’re in the right place. Every review is based on proper testing, launch monitor data and real on-course experience – not marketing slides.

We test all the big names (TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Mizuno, Cobra and more) plus the direct-to-consumer brands you’re starting to hear about. New vs old, budget vs premium, “forgiving” vs “players” – we put them head-to-head so you can see what actually performs.

Our testing is built around launch monitor data (GCQuad) and real-world shots, but we always explain the numbers in normal-golfer language. No fluff, no hidden agendas – just whether a club will help your game or not.

Whether you’re:
buying your first proper set,
a mid-handicapper looking for more forgiveness, or
a low-handicap player chasing that perfect combo of feel and distance,

H.I.T is here to help you pick the right gear for your swing, not just the newest thing on the shelf.

Why H.I.T exists:
To cut through the hype.
To give golfers the truth.
To save you time, money and a few golf balls.
To make the game a bit easier – and more fun.

  1. What ball is he using? If it’s a pro V he is probably about 5 mph slower on ball speed. My golf spy has the data behind that.

  2. Lmao, I am married 🤣 and after the end statements, i was like oh Rick start back peddling 😂😂😂😂 that was hilarious. You saved yourself though. Love the show, bring on more gear!!!!!!

  3. I feel like nobody is going to beat the g440 this year, it will have to be a really special club to get close.

  4. Most brand's wood family names are terrible. Callaway is often the most egregious with their names.

  5. A driver adapter is supposed to be adjusted in a fitting and then left alone. The fact they give you so many options and combinations standard is incredible. This should be sold as an upgrade, top from cobra.

  6. That's an appalling name for a driver and that's compared to all the other nonsense names they get called

  7. I am always surprised that Rick does not bag one of these more forgiving drivers, especially since driving is the weakest part of his game.

  8. I hate that you don’t take 2 seconds and dial them in for yourself. Crank the loft down on the k and you could have the best of both worlds

  9. Love to see cobra still provide Equal to the expensive Brands, are you testing the new Cobra mini diver as well?

  10. Rick I don’t really care that much about the look of the bottom of the Driver. The only thing I want in a head cover is one that is well made a doesn’t start to fall apart mid season. The look of the Drive at set up is very important and the sound it makes when the ball is struck critical.

  11. Why no fairway test? Given the marketing push for the line of drivers, this would be the line you would take to the fairway…

  12. They should have called it the OP (overpowered) cant wait to pick one up used demo for half price in 6 months

  13. I like your reviews. However I am an older golfer who would like to see the clubs that you say are not made for you. How about you get a player for whom those clubs are designed for to do a review of those clubs. I would imagine that a reasonable number of your viewers are in the same category as me.

  14. For 10-12 yards difference and with the distance I hit it, would be more like 5/6 yards. I'd take the one with the tighter dispersion
