the biggest issue new fans and young players begin to realize is that the playoffs are way different than the regular season. Mitch needs full time protection that the leafs could not offer. In the playoffs there is no cruising thru the crease or skating behind the goalie on the backcheck. Best of luck to him hes a great player. As far as the Dad goes I dont know him, Its been said hes a bit of a tool.

I find Marner so cringey. I was a HUGE fan of regular season Mitch, and even defended his post seasons at times, but man is he hard to listen to. Heโs gotten a little better over the years, but he still does this sort ofโฆ impression of a hockey player giving an interview. His cadence and tune sound like a kid pretending to give an interview. Most interviews with athletes are somewhat cringey (really? You want to win? Stanley cup you say? Youโre not happy with a second round exit?), but heโs one of the worst.
Of course he says โhoistโ too. Heโs always hoisting things.
