Agreed. My friends and I will play 2k23 and enjoy that we can all play online together, but I just know that support for that game will no longer be available in a few years and we’ll be forced to either buy the new title or move onto a different golf game. It sucks extra hard because there are a lot of really good user made maps that will disappear once the online service ends.

Play Tiger Woods 2004, 2012 or 2014.
2004 because it’s the best one. 2012 because they added the Masters to it. 2014 because it was the last one with Tiger’s name on it. The Master Historic Edition of 14 supposedly has 26 courses to play on.
Note regarding 2004: You’ll have to manipulate your system’s clock to take advantage of all the features as date specific events with special unlocks don’t keep going indefinitely.

They also gotta change the game, we have been baited as bad as Soccer, football, and baseball games. This shit is the worst version of rinse and repeat with AWFUL ball physics. But I agree, offline play should be a thing, especially with career.

Was wondering why I can’t log on to this but my other games are working.

Preach. Fuck this shit, where’s Sid Meirs Simgolf 2.
That will be a hard pass for me. I have not enjoyed golf games that have been released the past 10 years.
Coincidently, this is actually the last golf game I have purchased.

Loved 2k21. They should’ve allowed career to be offline. But, whatever now I know not to buy anymore 2k games. Fuck em.

2K25 is superb and I’ve never played online

I just want an arcade golf game with modern graphics. Give me a Tiger Woods 2002-2004 type game with fantasy courses, unrealistic skills, fun loud music, and simple gameplay that I can pick up for 15 min or 3 hours at a time and have fun with.
If I want to struggle and grind at golf I will just go golfing. The current realistic sim iterations of golf games do nothing for me.
Gave away my PS2… going to have to find an emulator or something.

Gotta get that Mario Golf. It even lets you use the joycons as clubs.
I recommend this one. Make sure you get the scoring pencil edition!

Weirdly enough, I can still play career mode on 2k21 on my Nintendo Switch. I received an email in August stating they were shutting down the servers towards the end of the year but I just played a round in career mode an hour ago.

Hard agree. This game holds up, the physics and graphics in recent games haven’t progressed and I’ve continued to play this one until the serves went down recently, I now play offline local games, but that’s getting boring

Gary Golf is the only pro I recognise.
