ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – Roanoke has golf courses, but “Star City Golf Club” offers state-of-the-art simulators in an air conditioned spot and Tim Horne is proud to bring his business to one of our hometowns.
“The golf course is a special place to me and I love to spend time with my friends. What’s better than drinking cold beer and golfing with your buddies?” said owner Tim Horne.
The facility has six simulators, each 20 feet by 20 feet by 10 feet tall, with plenty of room to swing.
Tee times can be booked online or one could show up ready to play.
The simulators offer an array of golf courses to play from, including August National in Georgia or Pebble Beach in California.
Star City Golf Club also offers a pro shop, food and a full bar.
“I’m so happy to be here in Roanoke; my wife raised her family here, so we had some ties to the community. We’re just so fortunate to have found Roanoke.” Horne said when deciding on where to have his business.
Star City Golf Club is open seven days a week and is open to all golfers from beginners to scratch.
