  1. Adding thought process in shot/club selection and course management decisions adds a layer of context that improves the video in my opinion. And selfishly, I always find it helpful looking back and seeing where I made mental/decision errors vs execution errors. Having it recorded helps with that.

  2. I do like hearing your thought process and club selection.
Pitching & chipping: I'd go back to basics. P wedge 9i and 7i only. Far more forgiving.
I'd only use more loft if essential I.e lob shot over sand I'd use s wedge or 52°.
I've found a couple of the Taylormade balls recently…not used yet…I find so many balls in woods at my home course.
    Btw: Great 6i !!
I look forward to your next round

  3. Another good watch. Bet if you replayed that 9 again straight after when you had loosened up with your driver then you may not have cut your drive into the woods. Unlucky to get blocked out by that stump. 16 handicap is decent and not high as the other dude said.

  4. Love ur content and I like how you show how many yards and what clubs your using in the corner of the video. Also been waiting for that bag you reviewed to come back in stock mid Oct the big rig Sunday bag. Hitting it with the “mg15” I think I’ve rewatched that review a ton of times in the last few weeks while waiting for the restock 😂😂

  5. Such a nice addition to the video having the camera overlay discussing through your shots, great to hear the insights on each hole. Also nice to hear that as a beginner you lost alot of balls as I'm going through the exact same thing 😆 I look forward to more videos!

  6. You do a great job on your videos, you get right to the round, great commentary, information on yardage, clubs are all good, in my opinion! Keep up the great work!

  7. The commentary sounds great and I love hearing your thought process. Course management is something too many beginners don't even think about – hearing you talk about it is super helpful to me as a high handicapper.

Also, the LoZ music is a beautiful touch

  8. Enjoyed this video. Very well done. Liked the narration and on-course commentary mixed in.
Your ball-striking is really coming along. Congrats on your progress, even if it wasn't your best score.

  9. You the man Mark! Keep these type of videos comings. Helps me as a new golfer and a high handicap (26 hcp)

  10. Good video man… Keeping the ball in play off the tee and having a solid short game will drastically improve your handicap. One thing I recommend for putting is to measure your back stroke so for example I use my 4" putter as a measuring device… If I take my putter back 4 inches (or 1 putter head length) the ball will travel 3 – 4 ft on my local course. 5" inches back is about 6 – 7ft … 6" inches back is around 9ft… so on and so forth. I put this is a note pad on my phone for reference and then when I go to a new course I go on the practice green to see if it is faster or slower compared to my home course. Picking the speed based off of my back stroke has helped me lag putts up close for most of my shots so I rarely ever 3 putt anymore drastically dropping my score.
To keep the ball in play on the tee go to a park and set up a 40 yard landing zone and practice driving between that zone. Hit several hundred drives a week until it become second nature. Do this with your woods too… It won't matter what ball you are using because you will be so confident at the tee box and you'll instinctively know where to aim based off of your shot shape. Lastly don't chase distance over accuracy… If it's a tight fairway just switch to a 3 or 5 wood which may go 10-30 yards shorter but keep you out of trouble as long as you practice with them as much as your driver.

  11. I would love some free golf balls. Just started playing less then a month ago and I'm absolutely addicted. All the free time I have I'm on YouTube watching golfing videos. Great video!

  12. I take all balls. It's funny because I've been finding these balls around the course.I try to play a consistent ball but my game suggests I can play anything sometimes and do just as well

  13. You don’t lose balls when yo go into the woods. You gain an opportunity to find a wealth of balls. If my ball lands on the edge of the fairway or in the rough I ball hunt while my friend take their shots. I started the year buying a few sleeves. Haven’t bought any since and I still have all my original balls in the bag. I’m a 30 handicapper I don’t need pristine balls. Free ones will do. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

  14. You weren’t “aimed right” you were fixated on staying away from the left. Fixate on the target not the obstacle. I’m a new golfer but as an experienced bowler I can tell you that if you focus your attain on avoiding one thing you’re gonna over do it in the other direction.
