On December 30, 2025, Tiger Woods turned 50 years old. As one of the greatest athletes of all time, Tiger’s birthday and his career were celebrated far and wide by fans and sports media alike. Now it’s time for Tiger to celebrate his own 50th, and to do so he has a fittingly epic party planned.
From a huge celebrity guest list to an official name, lavish host site, golfy dress code and multiple nods to his career, here are the six most interesting details about Tiger’s 50th birthday bash.
Tiger’s birthday party has a name… and a sponsor
Every pro golf tournament has an official name, and most have a company acting as presenting sponsor to help shoulder the cost.
Why not follow the same strategy for golf’s biggest birthday party? That’s what Tiger and his TGR Foundation, which is running the event, decided.
Tiger’s birthday will officially be known as “RED: Celebrating Legacy presented by EY US.”
The party will also act as a launch of the TGR Foundation’s 30th year fundraising campaign.
Historic (and lavish) Palm Beach resort will play host
Tiger has lived in the Palm Beach area for a long time, and over the years dozens of fellow PGA Tour pros and golf legends have joined him. It’s also a popular area for non-golf celebrities and business tycoons.
So it makes sense that Tiger’s birthday party will be in Palm Beach. But the venue is not your average Palm Beach location.
The Breakers, which opened in the late 1890s, is one of the most historic and lavish resorts in Florida.
Originally a vacation stop for robber barons in the early 1900s, it has hosted the rich and famous for well over a century. The current hotel, built in 1925, features a Renaissance Revival style and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
In addition to a charity event and a birthday bash, Tiger’s 50th is also designed to celebrate his historic golf career. And the Masters has played a bigger role in Tiger’s career than any other tournament.
Tiger has won the Masters five times, including his first-career major in 1997 and his most recent in 2019. After each of those wins, Woods hosted a Masters Champions Dinner, where he had to pick the menu.
Why is that important? Because the dinner menu for Tiger’s 50th birthday party will feature highlights from his five Masters Champions Dinners.
Those highlights reportedly will include cheeseburgers, porterhouse steaks, fajitas, crab cakes, milkshakes and much more.
Stacked celebrity guest list for Tiger’s birthday bash
We don’t exactly who is on the guest list for Tiger’s birthday party, but we do know a few details about it.
First, 300 A-List guests have been invited. That may seem large to you and me, but the party organizers view it as “intimate.”
TGR Foundation CEO Cyndi Court talked to Front Office Sports about the strategy behind the guest list.
“We definitely could have made it bigger, but we also wanted it to be intimate so that we could celebrate people that throughout the years have made tremendous commitments to Tiger’s vision of what could be possible in the future,” Court said.
Tiger’s birthday party dress code is nod to Sunday uniform
Given that the party has a name, title sponsor and theme, it only makes sense that it features a unique dress code, too.
Attendees of Tiger’s birthday party have reportedly been asked to add “a touch of red” to their ensembles for the evening.
That’s a nod to Tiger’s career. Throughout his decades in pro golf, Woods has always worn the same uniform for final rounds on Sunday: a red shirt and black pants. The dress code, like the party name, is inspired by Tiger’s Sunday uniform (as is his apparel company Sun Day Red).
Music legend will perform for Tiger and celebrity guests
There have been several instances when Woods has hosted events featuring musical guests. Older golf fans may remember the “Tiger Bash” days. Typically when Tiger hires a musical performer, you can bet they will be high-profile, uber-popular, but often lacking in critical acclaim.
And Tiger’s 50th birthday party will be no different. Performing for Tiger and his celebrity guests will be New Jersey’s own Jon Bon Jovi.
What’s next for Tiger Woods?
Once his birthday party is out of the way, we’ll all get back to wondering the same thing: when will Tiger play pro golf again?
The answer: no one knows (Tiger included). He’s still recovering from surgery he underwent last fall, and his timetable is unknown. We do know that he will be present at TGL matches as the second season gets underway. But we don’t know yet whether Tiger will be healthy enough to compete at any point.
As for the PGA Tour, one potential return date could be the 2026 Genesis Invitational, which Woods hosts, from February 19-22. That could turn out to be an overly optimistic guess.
If we know anything about Tiger, there’s really one tournament above all others circled on his calendar, one that he will definitely play if he is healthy enough: the 2026 Masters, which gets underway April 9 at Augusta National.
