LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Comedian and Nebraska native Larry the Cable Guy will host the 15th annual Git-R-Done Golf Classic in Lincoln May 31–June 1.

The two-day charity event will feature the Git-R-Done Gala on the field at Memorial Stadium and a celebrity golf tournament benefiting the Git-R-Done Foundation.

The tailgate-style dinner will include both silent and live auctions, entertainment and comedy from Larry the Cable Guy. The golf tournament will follow on Monday, June 1, bringing together celebrity athletes, entertainers and supporters for a one-of-a-kind golf experience.

“The Git-R-Done Golf Classic is something I’m really proud of,” said Larry the Cable Guy. “We’ve raised a lot of money for children and veterans who need a hand, and we’ve had a blast doing it. This year our guests are going to be on field at Memorial Stadium. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our milestone anniversary.”

Past celebrity guests have included Nebraska favorites Matt Rhule, Johnny Rodgers and Eric Crouch, baseball legends Ken Griffey Jr. and Ozzie Smith, and Super Bowl champions Joe Theismann and Jim McMahon.

The Git-R-Done Golf Classic has partnered with Bryan Health for more than 10 years. This year’s lead gift will fund the purchase of Giraffe OmniBeds for the NICU. Designed for premature infants, the Giraffe OmniBed Carestation provides consistent warmth, gentle care and fewer disruptions from birth through discharge.

Since its inception, The Git-R-Done Foundation has donated over $8.1 million to children’s hospitals, veterans’ groups and community organizations nationwide.
