HEATH – Buffalo Creek Golf Club will operate under a new ownership and management structure following its recent sale, a move expected to bring expanded resources and national exposure to the Heath course.

Legacy Golf Properties LLC, a Kerrville-based company, has purchased the daily-fee club and will run day-to-day operations. Troon Golf has entered into a partnership with the new owner to provide advisory services in agronomy, operations and marketing, and the course will be added to the Troon Access program.

The changes mean Buffalo Creek golfers will gain access to Troon’s nationwide network while the course receives additional support for maintenance and business operations.

Buffalo Creek, located near Lake Ray Hubbard east of Dallas, opened in 1992. The 7,078-yard, par-71 course was designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and includes practice facilities, an on-site restaurant and an event pavilion.

“Buffalo Creek is a special golf course in a thriving community, and we are eager to continue building upon what the Perry Family started here,” said Justin Jafarian of Legacy Golf Properties, which also owns Comanche Trace in Kerrville and Cimarron Hills in Georgetown. “The course is a wonderful addition to our portfolio of high-end golf experiences.”

Troon officials said the partnership reflects the course’s long-standing reputation in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.

“Buffalo Creek has been a mainstay of high-level, quality golf in the DFW metroplex for over 30 years,” said Troon Vice President of Operations Jeff Thomasson. “Troon could not be more excited to work alongside Legacy Golf Properties as they expand their impressive portfolio of clubs.”

Buffalo Creek remains open to the public and will continue hosting tournaments and private events under the new ownership.
