Great video Dan. And perfect timing. I use some of those already but definitely gonna try a few of those combos next time.
Super helpful video just as an FYI, in your chronomid and midge box, you put the bend of the hook into the slit you don’t put the point of the hook into the silicone…. I’m fairly certain that’s how you do it.
Holy smokes. Did a big ole comment here but it went to the Professor Of Rock! Anyways,, your Wooly Buggers look more like Leech patterns from the ones I remember as a kid where they were shaped like a hairy Wooly worm caterpillar 🐛 thing. So I don't do lakes. I had moderate success at Timothy, Wallowa and Scoggins etc. On 2 other channels a commenter TRIED to ask for tips on fishing lakes and I gave them both a big list on how to approach a lake and said that is also why I don't fish lakes 😂 You are the Man Dan! Fish On!! Peace 🕊 ♾️ ☮️ 🤟 😎 🎸
FFD, as a guy who doesn't really fish lakes… what's the deal with the huge white bead on the chironomid patterns; imitation (e.g. air bubble) or attractor? Still blown out over here, so haven't fished in too d@mn long 🙁. Anyway, ☮ from North Idaho.
Great suggestions Dan👌 I watch you on my TV so don't often comment but I'll try to comment more to help you grow. Have a Happy New Year! Steve
Awesome thanks for the fly recommendations 🤙. Your channel is one of my favorites for sure. Do you tie your flies? If you do I’d love to see some tying videos
All solid suggestions Dan. I also typically go smaller and slower when water temps drop. As always, thanks for taking the time to share!
