Swing speed dictates proper loft. See a professional club fitter for the appropriate fit.

Have you ever wondered why you hit your 3-wood or even your 5-wood as far or farther than your driver?

The answer is quite simple: you may not have enough driver loft to match your slower swing speed.

For example, if you have an 80 mph clubhead speed, you need a driver with a loft of 13- 15 degrees.

Slower swings require more loft. For a swing speed below 70 mph, the driver’s loft should be 17 degrees. A swing speed above 110 mph requires a 9-degree driver.

The proper launch angle will improve your distance. Most adjustable drivers on the market can

be adjusted up to 12 degrees.

Next time you buy a driver, please ensure you select the appropriate shaft flex and loft for your swing speed.
