Wondering if Travis Head is as good at hitting the green as he is at smashing the cricket boundary?

You’ll find out when Blitz Golf Adelaide tees off next month, bringing sporting stars, golf pros and live entertainment together for a fast-paced twilight showdown. Some of Australia’s biggest sporting names are set to trade their elite skills for golf clubs, with the golf festival returning to Kooyonga Golf Club for three fast-paced hours, dubbed the T20 of golf.

In a classic showdown style clash, Adelaide Crows and Port stars Jordan Dawson, Jason Horne-Francis, Zak Butters and Darcy Fogarty will be fighting on the field, just not the footy one. The AFL superstars have already put their golf skills to the test in a mini blitz event at the Glenelg Golf Club, taking on a few of Australia’s best young golfers.

Don’t forget the professionals on the field, with multiple Asian Tour winner Wade Ormsby, rising star Jack Buchanan, Japan Tour winner Adam Bland, along with Peter Cooke and Jason Norris, among the golfers teeing it up for a winner-takes-all purse.

Aussie cricket short-form specialist, Glenn Maxwell, is also back to take on the pros, often seen on the golf course, showcasing his love for both sports.

Blitz Golf founder Simon Zybek said the 2026 Adelaide event is all about access, atmosphere and star power.

“The public can expect our most action-packed event yet,” he said.

“There are more fan activations, multiple live music acts, and a star-studded lineup of pros and celebs going head to head in the T20 of Golf at one of the best golf courses in Australia, Kooyonga Golf Club.”

Designed to be fast, social and family-friendly, the event breaks away from traditional golf formats, with fans encouraged to move freely around the course and get up close to the action.

“With no barriers, you can walk alongside the stars,” Zybek said. “It’s a great day out for families, event-goers and sports lovers.”

At the core of Blitz Golf’s success is its three-round knockout format totalling ten holes, delivering a fast-paced spectacle built to thrill fans and reward clutch play. Played over just three hours, the format features progressively shorter rounds, multiple cuts, sudden-death shootouts, and a central Stadium Hole that delivers high drama reminiscent of major sporting finals.

“All wrapped up in three hours, it’s the perfect twilight outing, with music, food, golf action and live entertainment, plus the chance to meet the players.”

Zybek is taking Blitz Golf international, launching a global league in November, following several years of exponential growth here in Australia. In June, the event will head to the United Kingdom, redefining traditional golf as a modern, inclusive and dynamic spectacle.

Tickets for Blitz Golf Adelaide are on sale now, with general admission priced at $20, VIP experiences featuring four-hour food and drinks packages available from $200. So, will you be blitzing it up in January?
