They were can’t-miss kids. South Carolina standouts. PGA Tour hopefuls. Pioneers of golf’s YouTube era. But success is rarely a straight line. Alongside their feature in The Golfer’s Journal No. 34, George and Wesley Bryan sit down with TGJ managing editor Travis Hill to finally tell their whole story from the patio at Solina Golf Club, where it all began. They talk about the early days at Solina under their dad’s watch, the mini-tour failures, the trick-shot breakout that kept the lights on, and Wesley’s rapid climb to the PGA Tour. They also open up about their financial rock bottoms, the creative bets that paid off, and the growing tension with the PGA Tour as they carve their own path on YouTube. It’s the full arc of the Bryan Bros rise, fall, and rise again, told in their own words.

They are so great! The best youtubers
Love you guys! So real and honest, you guys are so entertaining. GOLF!!!!!!
Well after following Wesley Bryan ive adapted his driver swing and It works love all of the Bryan Bros content and always will they are the epitome of golf
Can we talk about George on the good, good video where the guy shanked one out of balance into some granite and George said on the next T box that the guy was off to a rocky start 😂
Just another pair of Youtube narcissists.
They are lucky that so many people are mindless followers with no life only a device.
Great video, love the bros. Terrible title on the video. It mimics too many low quality videos on YouTube, if not for the Bryan Bro channel appearing I would have skipped by for the 8th time. It’s imperative that you change the thumbnail or title to show that this is an interview with the Brothers and not a corny voiceover timeline recap.
What a great interview just two brothers that respect each other and love the game of golf. In my top 3 favorites on YouTube right now.
George is the man, hard not to like him!
These two guys are the best of YT golf. Good people, clean living, you don't hear one curse word or negative word about anybody. GREAT GUYS!
Thank you for sharing their story. I’ve never heard all the background. I was curious in particular about who was older, how they played and competed with each other growing up.
George – have you ever or woukd you consider working with a professional mental coach to see if that would improve your chances at Q school? It seems that is the one area that has held you back, based on this interview. Even if you don’t want to fully pursue PGa schedule it would be good content.
TRULY 🤣🤣🤣 The Bryan Bros are amazing, I love the content!
I played at USCB and the bros were already legends when I got there. Spent time with them in Atlanta, some great dudes. This insight and story telling was superb. Well done everyone!
There was a stretch there where golf just started to become out of reach for the average guy. It started with the golf channel. If you didn't have cable, you didn't watch. The whole sport just became so bougie, that it became an almost ridiculous caricature of itself. I'm talking about $200 polo shirts, On-Demand only events, etc. I think when you couple events like the Waste Management with Youtube golf, the industry finally realized that a whole bunch of people with a little bit of spare cash is a much more lucrative market than a niche group of people with a buttload of cash. Golf is supposed to be fun… and it is. The PGA never really figured that out.
Super disappointed you didn’t lean in on the Jay Monihan comments. 100% would’ve been the most interesting content for viewers.
I have followed the Bryan Brothers since the start. So happy for my fellow South Carolinians!
I dont watch the pga tour. I do watch the Bryan Bros
I was happy to see the Bryan Bros on.. really good episode
One of my favorite videos ever released. The Grind from trick shots, to George being the pro at Akon, Wesley getting kicked off the channel😂, the reuniting of the two, and then the Bermuda cut for George was an emotional moment clearly for yall but me as well. Grateful for this Bryan Bros Golf.
Anybody who wants to be a player should listen to these guys. It should be a requirement as the part of passage.
Love the bro's seem like a couple of real nice human beings that are bloody good at golf
Pga tour wants to grow the game the bryanbros are the first people they should be talking to period
I am a 62 year old guy from Sweden. Played golf since 1971. I love what Bryan B is doing. Golf needs the comp thing, with no gimmies. The speed of youtube is very good. Keep,up the good work!
Such a great video! As a recent addict to the game of golf, part of the reason being YouTube and Grant and the Bryan Bros specifically, this was awesome to learn more about their story.
I am lucky enough to play golf with my brother every week, so it is cool to watch these guys interact with each other.
alwaays thought wesley is the older brother 🤣🤣🤣
I loved this counselling session between the bros 😅
Love these guys. Good Good got me introduced to YouTube golf as most, I'm sure. Still love them, but Bryan Bros offer something for everyone. Great competitive golf, Bob and Grant, good personality with education and good banter, and most importantly they are always having fun and open to new things.
Love the Bryan Bros. I hope my two boys can grow up to love and respect each other the way George and Wesley do! Great video!
Love these guys.
The whole way through I can just picture Taco’s ‘Truly’ George impersonation 😂
I absolutely love hearing your story. You gents are very inspiring! I have always been a fan, and this interview just helps me like you guys even more. Blessings!
First time I ever was introduced to the Bryan brothers was when they were on The Big Break on golf channel. I’ve been fans of them ever since.
So when is the suspension ending?
I began following @bryanbrosgolf after seeing George and Bryan hit some balls on a sim facility on Twitch. I was streaming on twitch way back then and they were the only others i had seen use a sim on a live stream besides myself. Long story but I likewise was able to get through some hard times after hurricane Laura thanks to the amazing online golf communities and ability to play golf with other men and talk through our issues. It became an outlet and is an avenue that isn't given the credit it deserves in terms of mental health or men worldwide and how beneficial it can be. @golfersjournal this could be another story line to consider 🤔
Y’all done good. My grandpa loved PGA. He died last month of 87 great years of life. So will the pga.. I watch golf on TV to take a nap. I watch you tube when I have a sec to entertain myself. Times have changed.
Been playing best golf of my life since watching these guys. Handicap down to 2.1
Just 👏👏👏 Two great brothers! Wish all the luck
I’m watching this video after watching speed golf with Grant, I would love to see more development of speed golf! I think it could be big!
Petty Golf Association ~ PGA
Funny that pga suspended him but invited Grant at the same time, lol
