The Metung Country Club welcomed a perfect day for golf as it hosted the 19th consecutive Diamond Point Golf Charity Day, attracting a crowd of 60 local residents and their families.
Participants enjoyed a day on the course followed by a hearty lunch and the presentation of trophies, with all proceeds generously donated to Legacy, supporting the families of veterans and service personnel.
The winning team comprised Angie Duddridge, John Ellen, Peter Bull and Don Dickson, who took out top honours after a competitive round.
Individual accolades included Don Dickson and Jill Osborne claiming nearest-the-pin honours on the fifth hole, while Sam Tinley-Roe and Angie Duddridge recorded the longest drives on the ninth hole for men and ladies respectively.
Committee members and participants praised the day for combining community spirit, friendly competition, and charitable giving.
The event continues to be a highlight on the Metung Country Club calendar, demonstrating the enduring generosity and sporting enthusiasm of the community.
