Raked with care and looks like nice fluffy sand too! Incredible that a $20 nine hole course has better bunkers than 90% of the $100 18 hole tracks I’ve played.

An actual horse track, or at least it was.

Yes this course is inside what was the oldest 1-mile horse race track in USA. All within the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
At one point, golfers played while horses/jockeys were practicing on the track. They shut that down for a few months and golf course was only open 10am onwards. Finally the track was shut down last year. A bit sad for NorCal to loose this.

It’s raked nicely for sure, but still looks a bit hard/damp and/or shallow. A proper bunker with enough sand shouldn’t leave rake marks quite that deep from my experience.
As a fellow socal golfer though you take what you can get – certainly better than most around here lol

They must have refilled them for the new year! Perfect course for squeezing a 1hr walking round into a workday lunch break. Greens are always in fantastic shape.

My son takes lessons here. His lesson just got lengthened from 60 minutes, to 90, so hopefully I can get a tee time right after I drop him off.

Wow, and I thought Mariner’s in Foster City was nice for actually having sand in the practice areas.
