A York indoor golf facility and golf academy is bringing back a popular glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course for a limited time.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — The weather inside may be frightful, but the neon lights are delightful at Genesis Golf in Stewartstown, York County.

The popular nine hole, indoor, glow-in-the-dark miniature golf course is available for a limited time.

“It is our Growth of the Game initiative to introduce people to the game of golf for the first time if they have never done it or have done simulated golf, it is designed to take that anxiety down, have a lot of fun, get a little nostalgic, so we’ve got the nine Glow Golf holes and then you move through the rest of the facility and the simulators,” said Kimberly Carl.

Carl is the General Manager of the 3,000 square foot facility, which includes two side-by-side simulators featuring TGC2019, Skytrak Advanced Reporting and Protee Golf Video Games.

She says Glow Golf and the simulators are great for people of all skill levels.

“Entire families come, so like little kids 6 years old, to grandma and grandpa that’re coming in, it truly is a family event, in addition to that we’ve had juniors that have enrolled in our junior program because they came here, little Johnny or Susie had a great time and mom and dad had no idea they were interested in golf and now they’re out there golfing,” Carl said.

Pricing starts at $15 per hour and allows people to move from station to station.

People are encouraged to call ahead and make reservations in advance, just as they would on a regular golf course.

“We do ask for reservations to be made in advance, you can call, you can text us, you can email us, and this is because we do provide instruction and want to make sure, we have enough instructors to work with people outside of that,” Carl said.

Equipment is provided, although guests can bring their own.

“We have different sizes of putters and have clubs in the back for the simulators… we provide everything,” Carl said.

Genesis Golf also offers golf memberships and a golf academy for people interested in learning the sport or visiting courses across the state.

The facility has special holiday hours:

Monday through Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
