Rotation is all right handers
AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPS. Good move FO. Go Jays!
The dude had 1 good year in Chicago pitched to a sub 3 era. 210 million for that? Wow what a robbery by cease 😂
Useless reinforcement.
A seven-year contract for Cease will end in failure.
3 years, $90 million would be enough.
This means there's no chance of re-signing Bichette.
It would be a huge loss indeed, I won't be able to go to PS in 2026.
Who won the Division in the AL?
Send th later draft pick over to San Diego
I like the move but what is the point if at the end of the day you hand the ball to a scrub to close out and blow games. Jays need to make a move for an elite closer and let Hoffman have appearances where all the pressure isn't on him. It's not like he blew the title giving up a home run to Ohtani or another big name in the dodger line up
There's about 70M coming off the payroll after 2026. More if we deal Santander during the season. To prepare for that, I have no doubt the Jays front office is authorizing huge overspend this year to pay the tax. So, more moves to come, I have to think. Closer, 2B, OF.
That's a heavy price for an average pitcher – the jury's out …
That's a bad deal for Jay's cause the Dodgers 💙🏆⚾are Dylan Ceases's Daddy 😭😭
So glad the Jays took him off the market preventing the cubs from making that mistake. Cease was great first time through the order then gets blown up. No thanks. Bad signing Jays.
Jays are the defending AL champs. Get it right MLB.
To all the Jays fans calling for a salary cap because they lost to dodgers. I told y'all your team does the same ish. Y'all be trying to "buy" a championship too 😂
As a padres fan this makes zero sense to me… Cease was never dominant and blew some pretty big games. Glad he got paid though!
This is not OK, my Sox have been thru enuff lol.. Can we breath/regroup for jus 2 seconds, CRAZY!❤️💙🖤
AL East jus keeps makin' noise🤯💰💸
Welcome to Toronto, Dylan. Meet the greatest fans in baseball.
What a pick up
Jays franchises REVENUE was $260m last year.
The business of baseball is now handing out a full years revenue to guys. (Not even profits, REVENUE)
Or, if you prefer, roughly 10% of the ENTIRE FRANCHISE VALUE if you sold the entire thing tomorrow.
Let that just sink.
So Cease for 7 years at $30M per and he is 29 years old. Yamamoto has 10 years left at $27M per and is 27 yo. Unless some of it is deferred, the Dodgers beat Blue Jays again.
Should of brought back scherzer. The way he pitched in the playoffs is a closer look at what you’ll actually get from him next season he’s past that thumb issue now
Blue Jays is aiming for 100 wins in 2026.
Fan but man I m not sure this is going to be a good deal for jays. This is too much money
Extreme over pay
Way overspent on this.
We paid Basset around $21 million, and now forna few more we have a workhorse we can strikeout anyone. A bit risky, but we improved over Basset (who didn't even start in playoffs).
So many jays haters lol 😂
