  1. Well I’d agree with most of your take but smart isn’t how I’d describe Koepka, emotional is a better character term. Would not surprise me if he’s missing the spot light and craving attention so he’s taking the out he has to leave. The smart person would calculate the numbers and see he’s leaving more on the table than he could hope to earn by leaving so not a great financial decision that’s for sure.

  2. BETTER PRODUCT: why does the PGA tour have 18 times the following…are we watching an inferior product?
BETTER COURSES: perhaps, the only PGA course I ever played was Muirfield in Ohio…sweet.
TRAVELING THE WORLD: I’ve heard many Europeans say they joined LIV to ‘avoid’ having to travel.
YOUNG STUDS: Average age of the PGA Tour—-31, Average age of the LIV Tour—34½ (and if you take out those NO ONE has ever heard of (Chieh-Po Lee, etc.) it goes to 35½).
NOT GREED: Mickelson worth $300,000,000 PRIOR to LIV?
NOT HAS BEENS: How many tournaments did Scottie Scheffler win in 2025? How many tournaments have Kaymer, Casey, Howell, Garcia, Mickelson, Poulter, Stenson, Westwood, Watson, McDowell, Oosthuizen, and Schwartzel won COMBINED during their ENTIRE LIV careers? The answer in both cases is 6!
PAID WHAT YOU ARE WORTH: The PGA Tour had 137 MILLIONAIRES in 2025, and that is ONLY from tournaments.
TREATING CADDIES PROPERLY: PGA Tour caddies AVERAGE $100K-$250K and the TOP caddies over $1,000,000 yearly…AFTER all expenses are paid. (Ted Scott made $2.5 million!)
ONE QUESTION: If the LIV tour is so superior why did they have to pay PGA tour players, like Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, etc. to join them?

  3. AD-sq9nk: In 43 years Jack Nicklaus made $5.7 million, yet his net worth is $400,000,000. Tiger Wood's is worth $1,300,000,000. Perhaps the PGA tour should charge more for tickets, move from NBC etc., to streaming channels you pay for, or stop donating to so many of those 'pesky' charities. How much money do you need? PS: I didn't mention any young guys on the PGA Tour, I don't know what that means.

  4. Whatever contract LIV has for allowing it to unilaterally amend the work schedule is where my question is pointed. MrSG assumes an amendment by LIV allows a rescission of BK's contract without penalty. Im just not so sure that"s a guaranteed fact. I can't image LIV being that stupid to not have foreseen language for a player quitting being just a handshake and best wishes.

  5. Brooke has already said why he went with LIV for guaranteed money when his body was failing … and he didn’t know if he’d be able to compete properly. He is ready for a change. Good on him.

  6. Sometimes things don't work out the way you thought they would. And sometimes you say things to be polite or to try and cover up a selfish reason for doing something. Brooks, maybe have thought LIV would give him more time with family and it didn't or he may have just been trying to hide the money grab with a benevolent sounding reason for leaving the PGA tour. Either way he's a sort of controversial guy who some like and others don't do people are going to make judgements about his motives no matter. I'm betting he actually doesn't care all that much what we think and he shouldn't.

  7. Brooks was really nice to my kids when I took them to the Shriners in Vegas. He gave them balls and hats and was very cool. I'll always be a fan.

  8. Just a spoiled selfish person making decisions based on himself. Doesn't care about the league/tour or the fans. Im 100% over him. I don't care what else he does in his career because he has shown his true character.

  9. I'm expecting others to follow once their contracts expire. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up in the PGA tour again.

  10. These guys are oblivious to all the criticism. They’re in a bubble. Their families are not. They know that the Saudis are murderous, treacherous individuals. And if you want blood money, you’re gonna pay all the consequences. The PGA better not let him back in.

  11. Brooks has done the math thing. I’ve got $200M in the bank and I can live off 8% a year interest and be happy and play in 5-7 events a year and make another 2 million a year no strings attached.

  12. I think his personal life is a sloppy mess and this decision is not that calculated. And if it is, I'm 100% sure his managers are responsible for the timing of it all and every other detail that appears to be planned and executed properly. No way this dude thought through all of this on his own. PS…I'll never trust a grown man that dyes his hair blonde on purpose.

  13. Well let him sit for a year. Go to Q school and earn his PGA card again ! And make a million dollar donation to First Tee!!😊

  14. He is a whinny spoiled brat. He left for 2 reasons:
1- he finally realized he sucks and he will never be able to catch that lighting in a bottle again. He will never be considered one of the greatest of all time.
2- he was smart enough to see the writing g on the wall. LIV IS OVER!!!!!!!

I like how you mention that Brooks had a couple 30 something place finishes. Isn’t there only 30 something players? Hahahahaah

So finishing last is a good year now? I rest my case. Washed up who never was….. just like the rest of the LIV players

  15. Brooks about to find out you don’t just WALK AWAY from the Saudis 😂😂😂 – he may seriously get hurt – you think u can just ……leave???? Ba ba bahahahahahaahaaaa let’s see what happens here

  16. LIV is trash, this is only the beginning of the end. Every player that went to LIV said they were going to spend more time with their family so why is this an issue now?

  17. Brooks is washed up. He couldn't even compete against LIV athletes the last couple years. No chance he's going to the PGA, or if he does, won't be making the cut regardless.

  18. New rule l. Liv players have to carry Rory’s bag and caddy for him to get back into the PGA

  19. In the long run, LIV golf will be remembered as a fiasco that only served to make the PGA become an even better tour. Brooks and other LIV players realize this but can't come out and say it, so they'll start trying to find ways to get out before they fall off competitively.

  20. In fairness, he and his wife lost a child this past year (miscarriage). They want to have another child. Not sure why you wouldn’t just believe what he has communicated? I suppose we are just a conspiracy theory society now. Brooks had a terrible year last year, finished 31st in the league.

  21. I think fast track these players back to the PGA, That really piss LIV off , Hes a great player make the PGA the go to place to play

  22. I hope he comes back to pga. If pga were smart, 1 year amnesty for all players to come back. Watch many come back.LIV is unwatchable

  23. “they traveling all over the world”!! Common man!!! They traveling around the world in private jets, worst case business class while being paid millions to play golf!!!! What a difficult life I feel so sorry for them !!!

  24. I hope he comes back to the tour. The tour is lame now. Boring to say the least. The majors are the best because they are the strongest fields. I miss those guys like Reed, Bryson , Koepka , Rahm etc etc. It made for a better tour with better competition. Doesn't matter if you like them or not. The Golf was better.

You make some excellent points. I'm not a Koepka fan but I'd like to see him back on the tour. LIV is a joke. Legacy's are built on the PGA tour. This is where all of the prestige and history is. You can't replace that anywhere else.

  25. One guy who I think completely ruined his legacy is Phil. It is such a shame what he has allowed himself to become. Behind Tiger he was the best player of his generation and he threw all that away with his nonsense the last 5 years.

  26. His wife had a miscarriage, so he sees this as an opportunity to get out which rumors have said he has wanted out for a while. He likely had to pay them back at least 20 million. He’s also got issues and has not been playing well. So he’s gonna take some time off, play the majors he qualifies for, and then go back to the pga tour in 2027. It’s not brain surgery. Hopefully Bryson and Rahm get out next year and then this whole thing will be over.
