SoFi Center preps for second season of TGL

The second season of the TGL indoor golf league tees off today at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens.
The inaugural season experienced a roaring success, especially in TV ratings, prompting the start of the second season to begin opposite of an NFL Sunday afternoon.
One of the driving forces behind the league is Tiger Woods, who not only helped create the six-team league full of PGA Tour stars, but was one of the biggest draws for the new venture.
But, with his latest round of injuries, how soon, if at all, will we see Tiger on the tee in the TGL?

In March, it was announced that Woods, now 50, suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and subsequently missed all of the major PGA Tour championships. The last 15 years of Woods’ historic career have been marred with injuries, including his knees, back and the ailments after his car accident in 2021.
In October, Woods announced that he underwent surgery to replace a disc in his back. He missed both the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas — a tournament he hosts — and the PNC Championship, which he has traditionally played with his son, Charlie, in December.

In early December, Woods said that he would miss the first part of the TGL season. Woods plays for the Jupiter Links Golf Club, named for the south Florida city in which he resides.
Woods did say at that time that he had begun putting and chipping, but that he had not yet hit any drives, a requirement for the indoor golf league.
