Just feeling nostalgic and blessed (while still missing him).

I'm sure there are many others out here who owe their swing/love of the game to a parent, golf coach, or mentor. And, they wish they could experience one more round on the links with them.

The holidays can be tough this time of year, but know you are not alone and I'm forever grateful he gave me a permanent gift and love for the game.

My dad’s been going down hill the past 10+ years. I still remember him sneaking me out of school to go play. He’ll still ride along but doesn’t hit many balls. Best game there is.

Lost my father in 1995 also, he taught me the game as well. Bought me my first set of clubs in 1985. Not a day goes by that I don’t wish I could play another round of golf with him. Play as many rounds as you can with your fathers..

Same here – 42 years ago. If I had any wish possible, it would be to play another round of golf with my dad.

My dad picked up the game when he was about 40, I was about 7. We had many farher/son moments on the course. He remained a duffer while I went on to become a scratch golfer and played in college. I always cherished the times we would play together after college but it was very frustrating to me. His eyesight started waning and he just couldn’t see where his ball was going. So it was up to me to always find his errant shots which was most of the time. Fast forward 30 years. My game suffered when my twin boys were born. When they got old enough I would take them to the range with me and eventually we would play a 9 hole, par 29 executive muni course nearby. However, the BEST times were when my sons, dad and me would be a 4some and go out to our local muni for a day of golfing. We only had a couple of years doing that, but the memories will last a lifetime.

Me too. 30 years ago. We were two leftys who played the game right handed.
