The second season of the screen golf league TGL, which features a large number of star golfers such as “Golf Emperor” Tiger Woods (USA), Rory McIlroy (Northern Ireland), and Tommy Fleetwood (England), will begin on the 29th (Korea Standard Time).
TGL, co-founded by Woods and McIlroy in January this year, ended its first season with the victory of Atlanta Drive GC, which was joined by Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel and Lucas Glover (USA) in March. In the second season of the TGL, players who are active in the PGA Tour are on the list of participants, attracting tremendous attention even before the opening.
Atlanta Drive GC and New York Golf Club will clash in the opening game. Atlanta Drive GC, which built the same power as last season, is trying to win for the second consecutive season.
Woods belongs to Kevin Kisner, Max Homa (USA), Kim Joo-hyung and Jupiter Links Golf Club. Woods, who recently had back surgery, is likely to miss the beginning of the season. However, Woods announced his plan to support his teammates on the spot, and is expected to make an appearance at the Jupiter Links Golf Club game. The Jupiter Links Golf Club, where Woods belongs, will start its new season on January 14 next year.
The second season, which will be held at the SoFi Center TGL-only stadium in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, will be played in the regular league until March 4 next year. The semifinals will be held on the 18th of the same month and the final will be held on the 25th.
