Just finished my build this past week and want to thank this sub for all of the guidance along the way. Happy to answer any questions I can.
- VTrack
- SIG10 enclosure + 8×10’ landing pad
- SIG 4×10’ softy hitting mat
- Epson 3800 home cinema projector
- Razer Blade 15” laptop for GSPro
Takeaways:
the Epson is a normal throw projector that I already owned, required just shy of 17’ of distance to achieve full screen coverage, and in the photos I hadn’t dialed in the resolution yet, but it now fills the screen nicely. Casts zero shadow for me as a righty, any lefties will just need to deal w a little shadow cast but that won’t be a big deal, it’s their fault for being left handed anyway.
landing pad was built up to level with the hitting mat by using 1.5” Foamular insulation board and then .5” EVA foam tiles, sits perfectly flush with the hitting mat and was not all that expensive to do. Prior to building up the floor it was annoying to retrieve balls, and also the landing pad slid around and so did the screen.
Mounted an extra TV to the wall for club data, that has proven to be incredibly convenient to have in addition to the main screen.
All in all I’m very happy with this setup, everything feels very premium and the only aesthetic drawback in my opinion is the fact that it’s in an unfinished part of my basement. Looking forward to any feedback or questions!
- VTrack LM has been great so far, integrates seamlessly with GSPro, no complaints at all

Looks great! How much did it cost?
How tall are you? I would love to use a normal projector since my Sim will also be a HT but I’m very tall at 6’5
