Batam island Indonesia is only about an hour by ferry ride away from Singapore Harbourfront Ferry Terminal. This time I am at Indah Puri Golf Club which is only 20 mins from Sekupang Ferry Terminal and 25 mins away from KTM Resort. The golf course is a popular one where many avid golfers play at. The course provides a good challenge and its layout can be exciting for all level of golfers.

That can’t be Indah Puri, there isn’t a group of 9 golfers in one flight holding you up..
Well played! The second shot on Hole 1, played precisely from the slope flying next to the tree, was an excellent shot! On this hole, a fade off the tee works really well. On Hole 14, laying up is the only sensible option for the second shot, no matter how good the drive is. On Hole 7, a fade is a must! On Hole 16, unbelievable luck that the second shot stopped just before the ditch! On Hole 8, during the winter monsoon, a strong crosswind starts pushing left toward the water, but you don’t notice it from the tee box, which is more sheltered—hitting a draw could be a disaster.

This is the golf course in Batam that evicted families from their apartment homes, cut off the electric and water, stopped removing garbage and eventually demolished them, even though there was a court order stopping them!
