  1. It's been a long time coming honestly. I think anyone who watched a bit of LIV and Brooks play outside of it knew he was leaving sooner rather than later.

  2. It's obvious the PGA Tour have guaranteed him starts this season – why else would they even be making a statement?

This could cause a lot of bad feeling if the PGA Tour give him preferential treatment.

  3. DJ will be next. The PGA should let them back in. They were tempted by money and realized there's more to life than money

  4. Is it one year or one season? One season means he could tee it up next fall, which may work well with his desire to be home for a awhile

  5. Golf needs to break away from the US. They had it good in the 20th century, the world let it establish the US as the place for a major golf league, but the world has caught up now, and it can do with its own Global Golf Tour, and do not require the US any more.
Like other sports that play in the international arena, like tennis, golf needs to do the same, to rewrite its leagues around the world and make them all equal in the World Rankings. It makes no sense other than the 20th century history of US-heavy play that the US payers who barely leave their own country rack up international ranking points! just because they make more money and the perceived notion that they are better players. Are they? IF you made those US players require to play equal amounts away from home and play at international destinations, you can guarantee their games will suffer, as it is not easy physically to travel all the time nor is it psychologically comforting to be in foreign destinations every other week.
For those of you in Britain who are mocking LIV, you make no sense. Ask yourself why there are 3 "majors" in the US, and what "major" means and why they are "major" in the first place and what they are for.
This is THAT moment in history when golf needs to start over.

  6. If LIV is going to be playing 72 holes – then what was the point in leaving the PGA? Never watched LIV and not interested. Feel sorry for the players who wanted to play less and therefore joined LIV.

  7. There’s no free lunch. LIV wanted to expand and that meant more tournaments in different parts of the world. Brooks realized that the big cash wasn’t worth LIV’s changes. It’ll be interesting to see if others follow. 😊

  8. I'd be surprised if Brooks management team haven't already been in contact with the PGA Tour to ask what's the deal if our man was to decide to leave LIV ?

  9. people saying the tour should take him back make me sick, you sold out to the Saudis and Australian leeches that bit the hand that fed them, got the pga tour in deep waters for a few millions you didn't need and now you want relevance again??Fk you, ALL of you sellouts.
If the pga tour accepted this guys back after having players refusing hundreds of millions to stay that would be the fkup of the century and hopefully it's downfall. Usually golf fans are straight up people that like to see the right thing being done (well, at least USED TO , now if a golfer does YouTube videos he's always right 🤦‍♂️🤣)

  10. He has plenty of money and wants to spend more time with his family… simple as that! End of LIV? Absolutely not! It’s far better than the boring PGA tour .

  11. I thought spending more time with your family was the reason these golfers went to LIV. Yeah, we know why the went to LIV. So now, Brooks probably sucked on purpose so LIV would be glad to let him walk. He'll be back on the PGA before 2026 ends.

  12. LIV stinks and everyone know it. Golf is not a team sport, and playing loud music etc are just gimmicks. The range goats 😂 haha what a joke

  13. In my mind brooks is thinking ahead qualifying for the Masters — and Open — more than anything as his exemptions are closing and it’s not looking like he is going to find a way in playing at Liv.
Livs schedule was supposed to be additive but because they refused to work together instead has become a tour that travels the world — and now plays 4 rounds. And the Tour has mostly matched purses and it does not seem Liv will give him another giant bonus to mope around and play mediocre golf.
So put all that together and here we are.

  14. A seemingly bitter person and kind of boring man so I'm glad he's leaving as there are more exciting players to be in LIV. Wish him the best!

  15. BK had the time after recent marriage, got the money, and waited for OWGR ranking which likely prompted his change of mind since he is getting older. If you watched LIV, his devotion to family saw less practicing and it was evident and frustrating to watch as we was not in the mix. I think traveling around the world was not to his liking, but he will have to put in a lot of work to be competitive in the top 50 even if he goes back to the PGA. It would not be surprising to me that he plays here and there until he finds his game to light a fire under him. I think the anti-LIV trollers will proclaim the collapse of LIV, but it is likely culling the herd due to lack of performance. The recruiting of big names is also negotiating with team captains to move on to make room for new stars on the international stage. If anything LIV paid a bonus to BK to leave and the PGA is still reticent.

  16. Why did he leave and exhibition tour team/Golf concept that will not work no world golf rankings points and once you get you know 20 30 4050 $80 million. What’s the point live? Golf will fail at some point. The team Golf’s Truxion is ridiculous. I’m glad to see him bail out of a sinking ship.

  17. For the highest level competitors, LIV is boring. It’s like being put out to pasture with a load of cash in your bank account.

  18. when it's all about the money and you have it all than other things start to matter every payed golfer playing is only there for the money and the more money they get the merrier they are

  19. LIV will skin him alive financially. The contracts are just about written in blood. Did sod-all in LIV anyway.

  20. "The time with the family" is the perfect explanation/excuse for BOTH Koepka and the PGA Tour. Everyone knows PGA want him back on the PGA tour but they have to show that he had to pay a price for his departure (1 year suspension). Koepka not playing on LIV in 2026 to spend time with his family matches his reasoning for leaving LIV, it could also help him with any lingering physical condition. And 2026 not playing is the 1 year suspension that meets PGA's penalty reference before returning to the PGA in 2027.

  21. Brooks is washed. He knows he can’t compete on LIV anymore. No great loss for LIV. LIV is going to continue to explode in 2026!

  22. He depends on his talent like most of LIV but most are lazy and don’t have to practice because of all the money so after while it’s Hollow and boring

  23. I am a huge fan of Brooks but let’s face it, he went to LIV since he thought his body as done competing and LIV offered more family time playing 3 rounds instead of 4.
