Nexgen Golf Academy, Guyana’s only dedicated golf practice and training facility, will kick off 2026 with a bold initiative aimed at widening access to the sport and accelerating youth participation across the country.
From January 2 to March 31, 2026, golfers using the Woolford Avenue facility will benefit from a “Pay for One Hour, Get the Second Hour Free” promotion. In a major boost to grassroots development, student rates will be reduced to zero during the same period, with complimentary access to golf balls and equipment included. The initiative has the backing of the Guyana Golf Association and aligns with broader national objectives to expand youth engagement in sport. GGA President Aleem Hussain said the programme was developed following discussions with Charles Ramson Jr., who has emphasized the importance of exposing more young people to golf.
