We had a fantastic evening recently at the ladies’ Christmas party. As usual the meal and service were top class, thanks to Andy, Keith and all the staff in slice.
Thanks also to Martina Gately who organised the entertainment for the evening which included the choir, ably supported by Theresa Kehoe, 2 skits from Yvonne, Anna and Mary and fun and a song from Alice Dwyer.
Thanks to all who joined in the singing, especially the raucous rendition of the 12 days of Christmas!

New Ross Seniors
Unfortunately Mother Nature intervened yet again, causing New Ross Seniors to be called off last Thursday, December 18.
Seniors golf will resume on Thursday, January 8. In meantime a huge vote of thanks from Seniors, especially to Claire in office, and to James and Steve in Pro Shop. Seniors are also delighted that their monetary subscription to Community Hospital was well received and appreciated.
Happy Christmas to all and please God we’ll all be back on the fairways in New Ross early in new year.

Rosslare Ladies
As early frost turned to blazing sunshine we felt lucky that the course was playable on Tuesday, December 16, for our 12-hole, team-of-three competition.
Top marks to the greens team for their tireless work in keeping the course drained and open after the recent deluges.
Results: 1, Stephanie Glynn (12), Claire McCormack (13) and Marie Garahy (14), 53 points; 2, Chris White (9), Bernie Riordan (17) and Paula Stafford (10), 53 points.
Only seven brave souls ventured out in relentless rain and high winds for the Saturday, December 20, ladies’ open 12-hole competition. Congratulations to the winner Philomena Keating (22) who scored 21 points.
