Take the life-changing money, serve out your contract and move on
Yeah makes sense to me

BK got his payday. Put the feet up pal, 5X major champ.

I love brooks. Not being able to see him at the memorial has been a bummer. Hopefully the pga tour doesnt do some stupid shit and prevent him from playing.

LIV is dead, it will fold in 2026

Brooksy! This is big news for PJ

Where’s he going
cam_huskers
This is going to be a constant flow over the next year with everyone leaving from the first wave of signings. They’ll all say they’re “retiring” while they serve out their suspension before they’ll be back on the PGA.
I hope the PGA welcomes some of them back, except Phil and Sergio, cunts.

The first domino falls.

would love to see him on korn ferry tour

The beginning of the end for LIV. Rahm and Hatton next hopefully.

Made the Saudi money now return to the real tour. He won’t be the first.

Koepka is a 🤡

This is probably the clearest indication yet that PIF isn’t going to give out the big contracts again. They’ve been pulling back in other sports, so this is consistent with that.
Hard to see how they survive. If the OWGR application gets approved this time, that gives them a chance of getting some more talent.
But another OWGR failure — or just no response — probably draws the curtain.

Never has to play golf or work again he wins.

Of all the guys that left, I have the most sympathy for Brooks. He was pretty transparent about his motivations. It was more about his injury history and the payday than it was about “growing the game.” Also bonus points for being the only marquee name that didn’t wear that stupid LIV crap to the majors.
Give_to_get
He can never get those years back and the non LIV tournaments he could have won
Emergency_Wolf_5764
Koepke is only interested in playing majors, at this point.
He can use up his exemptions and just stay home and practice on his own schedule 90% of the year now.
This new arrangement will help him stay more injury-free and extend his playing career.
He’ll be fine.
Next.

Hope he rejoins the PGAT and regains his form and competitiveness. Fun to have him in the normal mix as golf’s favorite heel.
Boboman86
I think he’s one that could just be done with golf. He said a lot of stuff and maybe some was just talk. The one about only really liking golf to compete and win against the best might actually be one of those. If he ain’t playing very good and he can’t compete and win in liv and possibly win a major than he might just be done golfing all together.
Public_Anxiety_2290
Brooks is a guy that can move the needle. Not like the big cat. But more than most guys these days. Welcome back. I hope you snag a few more W’s.
ChaseElliotSitsToPee
Think his suspension expires in August and he has exemption from winning the pga championship a few years back. Probably plays the majors until August then plays events he wants before back to full time in ‘27

[The PGA Tour’s very clear, not ambiguous whatsoever, statement](https://x.com/PGATOURComms/status/2003586432473137238)
