As for the expensive clubs verses cheap clubs, there is no substitute for quality clubs, yet a scratch player could still shoot a par round or better with a budget set from Costco.
As for balls, I refuse to pay the extortionate prices that Titleist charge, they are absolutely mugging the public off…!! You don't have to pay the rediculous prices for balls to play a decent round, I've shot some of my best rounds with cheaper balls… As for the Amazon Core Soft balls, they are fantastic for the money, are they supreme, no, but if you learn how the reacts, then you can play decent golf with them, I've tested them and the biggest weak point is the roll out on approach shots, but that is only like playing hard greens in summer, you know it's going to roll out a metre or so more, so you can play to that, they are a great ball for golf in England in the winter months, soft receptive greens, and if you lose a few under leaf fall you're not gonna worry about it and still be able to afford a pint after the round without crying into it over having lost a £5 Titleist ball.
Or, buy a UV torch. Go out walking dogs in the dark and find hundreds of balls. Keep minters you like for yourself. Give out loads to other players. Give loads to club for this kids to practice with! Saved me a fortune and I only play the ones I like
Titleist clubs are no better than DTC brands. The tech is the same or better. You would have to be daft to spend 2 to 3X more money on titleist clubs or any other legacy brand. You should've used the Titliest clubs with the amazon balls. That would've made more sense! Love your videos but this one was rediculous!
So here’s another place for you to get cheap golf equipment and also brands I have never heard of or seen anyone use the site is called Golf Partners I think you might enjoy what they have there
There’s little to no doubt that the Pro V1’s are a higher quality ball. The issue is that for 90% of ametuer players having a high quality ball make little to no difference in their game. They simply are not consistent enough to see a real difference.
Feels like a vanity video this one and camera work is terrible and all over the place. Don’t see where the benefit of comparing these Irons to cheap crap from Amazon has relevance is especially as the irons from Amazon were not Amazon irons as they don’t make them, plus comparing a 3 piece Pro V to a Amazon basic 2 piece is a complete mismatch.
Better video would have been comparing Titleist iron to a proper DTC iron that has been fitted via at least online fitting.
Usually love your videos but this one is the weakest I’ve seen.
I dunno, was waiting for that but agian. Its the apples to oranges setup. Yeah I bought my irons for less than a liver and kidney BUT – RAM FX can be fitted online and I bought decent balls trying out Willson Staff Srixons and RAM ones not the amazon crap. Why dont you get the RAMs fitted to your size get the same balls and show us what the actual difference is. THIS tells us NOTING. It could be the irons OR it could be the ball, or both, fuck knows. SO your most stretches and unfair test shows that IF yous spend 5000 pounds rather than 150 you MIGHT get a point less or 2. EFF OFF> especially with that IF your are serious aobut your Golf… I can tell you Im more serious than 99% of cunts that owe all Taylormade stuff.
Hmmm. Not convinced by this. Your final comment is to be consistent which I agree is key but surely players can afford to be consistent with a less expensive ball and maybe clubs. If you play that Amazon combo you would just club up and be consistent for less £££’s. I’m not sure comparing both ends of the spectrum is useful in the real world as they are different for different folks.
James please review the Temu Elyt-e…. I purched the Calong Rich (ping) and have had great results , Would really enjoy your thought on the Elyte ..its marked as such just no Callaway markings for 218 on temu ….. thanks for your great reviews!

Temu sourced full bag Vs Amazon full bag James? Clubs and balls, which is better bang for buck?
My son gave up golf for a while but started playing again and got a fitted set of T100’s he absolutely loves them!

Could you test the donnay balls at sports direct currently? £8 for 24 and great for winter
It makes no difference to the high handicaper because they are so inconsistent.stick with the cheapest you can find ,spend what you save on lessons 😊
I'll bet you they don't kill the big brands………😂
Great video James
