  1. Imagine you have to move something heavy from right to left. You would not start by pulling with your arms. The first move is always your body shifting left to create momentum. Only then do your hands and arms follow and guide the object.
    The golf swing works the same way. The movement starts with a shift of weight toward the target. That activates the big muscles. The arms do not rush down. They respond to what the body has already started.
