Ravisloe Golf Club will celebrate its 125th anniversary in 2026, and club staff member Jim McGrath is inviting anyone with memories they would be willing to share to contact him at 708-528-9277 or [email protected].
McGrath said he would welcome copies of old photos, too, as he works to add to the historic course’s long story.
“I just wanted to reach out to anybody in the community that possibly had worked there, that was a member there, that had memories there or that have any type of photographs or anything to do with the course,” he said. “Maybe somebody’s holding something that could give us some insight.”
Ravisloe was founded as a private country club in 1901. The course was designed by legendary golf course architect Donald Ross.
The current clubhouse, built in 1917, is on the National Register of Historic Places.
The club was purchased in 2008 by veterinarian and businessman Claude Gendreau, who restored it and opened it to the public.
