Otsego Club’s / The O Park’s 2010 Splashdown event was warm, sunny, and just plain awesome! Many members and guests came out to enjoy the last few days of shredding for the 09-10 season. Mountain Manager Ken Brabender and crew spent countless hours on the hill during the week and into the weekend securing snow on each run… all 5 runs were open! Ken & crew also put together an amazing course for the Splashdown, starting a third of the way up Chair 5, winding down right in front of the RiverCabin where the Splashdown pond was located. Many attempted to clear it completely, with only a few being successful. It was a hit with many of the contestants – some were in swim trunks and t-shirts, others wearing snuggies or sweatshirts and snowpants. A pig roast was enjoyed by all, companied by great side dishes, drinks and appetizers. At the end of the day everyone joined ’round the Dunk Tank to get a chance at soaking Ken Brabender and GM Kris Klay with benefits going towards a member of the Otsego team who had an unfortunate injury early in the season. All in all, great skiing, snowboarding, splashdowning times were had by all! Come and visit us for our golf season and see you next year!
