If you missed LIV Golf’s Michigan stop, good news: you’re getting another shot.

The wildly popular LIV Golf tour is officially returning to Michigan in 2026, bringing its season-ending Team Championship back to The Cardinal at Saint John’s Resort in Plymouth for the second year in a row.

LIV confirmed the Team Championship will take place August 27–30, 2026, wrapping up the season at The Cardinal, which is the same venue that hosted the 2025 championship. That alone says a lot. When a league comes back immediately, it’s usually because something worked.

If you’re newer to LIV Golf (or just tuning back in), the Team Championship is one of the league’s biggest events of the year. It’s fast-paced, team-focused, and feels more like a sports festival than a quiet afternoon on the course, which is why fans love it so much.

LIV Golf leadership didn’t exactly hide how happy they were with the Michigan reception.

In a statement, LIV Executive Vice President and Head of Events Ross Hallett said team competition sits at the heart of the league, and that Michigan is a perfect fit for that. From the course layout to the fan experience, Saint John’s Resort in Wayne County helped make the 2025 finale a success.

LIV is also planning to continue working alongside the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation and the team at Saint John’s Resort as they build toward the 2026 season.

For Michigan golf fans (or anyone who likes big events close to home) this is one of those “put it on the calendar now” moments.
