Brooke Henderson and Nick Taylor. Couple of unbelievable performances by Canadians in the world of golf in 2025. Now Bob, you were there at Missaga covering the CPKC Women’s Open inside the ropes watching Brook Henderson make history again. What do you remember most about that week at Missaga? >> You know, coming into that week, Brooke, obviously there were a lot of eyes on her as there always are at that tournament, the home game. And I think, you know, she had had a pretty mediocre season at best, but she had kept telling people, you know, it’s close. It really is close. And when you hear that from players, and I’ve heard it, and I’m sure Mark has, and I’m sure you have, Adam, time and time again, you know, sometimes it’s just it’s just words. I really felt there was something in her game that she was actually pretty happy about and pretty boy about it, and it came out. And the other thing I remember was the breaks she got in the final round. She hit three trees in the final round and all three times the ball bounced back into a favorable position for her and she could have easily lost that tournament uh on the front side. I mean the best one was on the 12th hole. She hit a tree trying to go over water and the ball bounced back on a par five, you know, short. She had a little wedge shot and she got up and down. Those are the kind of breaks you need when you win. But there was also the determination that she had in her eyes. You could just see she was focused once she got the lead. She and Minji Lee were coming down the stretch. She was not going to let let up on the accelerator. She was not going to let anybody pass her. She was going to win. That’s the kind of Broo Henderson that I’m used to seeing when she’s in the hunt. And I think we we saw a little revival from her as she came down that stretch. It was fun to watch. >> Her 14th career LPGA Tour victory continuing to make history. Now Mark, on the PGA Tour back in January, Nick Taylor won the Sony Open. Nick Taylor now has won three consecutive seasons on the PGA Tour and he’s three and 0 in playoffs. Mark, what can you say about the clutch gene that Nick Taylor has? >> It’s pretty awesome, guys, because we constantly talk about the opposite and this is not a reflection on any one of our other team Canada members. This is the PGA Tour in general. We watch four or five shot leads get blown week in and week out. We watch players uh basically putt differently on Sunday than they putt on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Sundays are just different on PGA Tour for everybody except a handful of players. And one of those players is hands down Nick Taylor. Adam, he is just different. The tighter the situation gets, the more pressure he receives, the better he performs. If he is in the lead, if he sniffs it, watch out for Nick Taylor. And it’s mind-boggling to me, Skellyy, and you and Bob have outlined this time and time again, his performance in majors is not great. Uh, which is just uh so confusing to me considering his clutch gene. But I do think there’s something special coming from Nick at a big event in 26. Whether it be a signature event at Pebble Beach where he’s won before or potentially a players championship, I think Nick has something in the tank and something special in 25. >> Okay, Mark. So, to follow up on that, when we’re doing this show next year, recapping 2026, Mark, who do you think is going to be the best Canadian in the world of golf? >> Well, I am eligible, gentlemen, now for the Champions Tour, but I’m going to remove myself from the equation and I’m going to stick with my guy Nick Taylor. And I I truly believe, guys, that he will win again. I truly believe it’s going to come in the first six months, and I think it’s going to be on on a very big stage. I I’m not going to put the pressure on him and and point to him and say he’s going to win at Augusta or he’s going to win at the PGA Championship, but I I do think there are some golf courses that line up really well for Nick in the first half of the year. Uh you know what he’s done in Scottsdale in the past, Pebble Beach against Phil Mickelson. Uh I think you know TPC Srass doesn’t necessarily set up for anyone in particular, but it doesn’t set up against anyone in particular. I think Nick Taylor could have a really good week at the players championship. I’m going with Nick, guys. He’ll uh he’ll be the best Canadian at the end of 26. >> What do you think, Bob? >> I can go with Cory Connors. You know, I think overlooked a little bit with how improved his putting was. He went from 127th two years ago to 67th this past season. And when his putter is even marginally good, doesn’t have to be great, it just has to be good. The rest of his ball striking can really provide him with chances to win. And I think if you look back at his major record last year, it was pretty solid except for the injury of course at the US Open. But I do think that that Cory Connors is is due for a big big year. He he’s too good a player to have just two wins. >> And I’m going to go with Nick Taylor as well, guys. He had that T23 at the US Open back in 2025. So trending in the right direction at major championships. I think Nick Taylor is due for a big 2026. And don’t forget, it’s a President’s Cup year, too. He’ll be motivated to make that International President’s Cup team.
